When you work with me as a GAL you get the benefit of child development, parenting, psychology, child safety, and investigative experience. I offer personal case attention and reasonable rates in the Midlands area of South Carolina.

I have lived in Lexington County, SC since 2011 and prior to that, lived in Aiken County from 1990-2011. Upon earning a B.A. in Psychology from Columbia College in my 30s while raising three children, I volunteered with my county’s GAL program. I then served as a case manager in Child Protective Services for over five years, working with hundreds of families. I also spent a couple of years assisting underemployed and unemployed adults in obtaining jobs and accessing career training through SC Works. Throughout my career, I have built strong connections with various community-based and professional resources in the Columbia/Lexington/Aiken areas.

My approach to each case as a Guardian ad litem is centered around the “best interest of the child” standard, prioritizing a child-centered and family-focused perspective. I believe that there are different types of families, each with its own unique functioning and cultural background. What is most important is that every child feels loved, accepted, safe, and secure.
